From Vicky's last published Xanadu story 'Into Golden Skies', and one that went unfinished before her death, here's a picture of what she told me were her two favorite characters. Alicia the Unicorn Empress of Xanadu, after getting transformed with a pair of wings in the previous tale, 'Across Diamond Seas', had to learn how to use them properly. Thus she got lessons from Kinomon the Golden Dragon. Not just flying but landings, take offs, signaling the tower (kidding). As the comic showed, some of these lessons went better than others.
After Fatima Kinomon was my favorite character in the series. I still regret never asking Vicky for art of him.
The story itself was published, all save for the last chapter, in the gone but not forgotten Xanadu fanzine Ever-Changing Palace.

The story was published in ECP, all save the last chapter. Vicky wanted to get it published while she was still with us, she had everything all drawn and inked, but for various reasons it never happened.

Well my guts settled down - think it was food poisoning. The family issue, my stepmom has a lot of ailments - amputee - right leg above the knee and lung cancer survivor, etc. Had a bad bout of pnumonia and a lingering lung infection - low oxygen issues on Monday and another trip to the ER on Friday. I had to bail from work twice in a week because of that. She's stubborn and didn't want to use her Oxygen condenser - started to turn blue and pass out when a visiting nurse was over on friday.
