Well technically just extraterrestrial bee-creatures.
So this is an alien species, the Zz!!!!'rkee (the underlined quadruple exclamation is a commonly-used trill sound in their language) which shares the same planet with the cave mantis ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5166703/ ), though these insects are much smaller. To fly with wings like that, they have a very light body, weighing about 40 pounds, which is extremely light for having a 5-foot tall body. They have fluffy body fur that picks up pollen when they crawl into the large flowers to feast on nectar.
The picture on the bottom is a queen, who had eaten her back legs and wings because who the fuck needs those when your lower body is a schoolbus?
The Zz's drawn here have recovered from their year-long instinct trance, except for the queen who isn't really saying anything.
Why doesn't FA have "insect" or "arachnid" in their species list? Not everyone just needs the canine/vulpine tag.
