The surprising fact is that chefs, because of their managerial experience, actually WOULD fit in a law office, albeit not, of course, in a legal advisory capacity (unless they had a J.D.). While I've not seen it personally, I have heard of back-office managerial personnel in law firms that have restaurant backgrounds. J.D./M.B.A. combinations are fairly common, and you see quite a few J.D./engineering degree mixes in intellectual property law.
