Happy New Year, everyone! This is my holiday card design of 2024.

Here's the text on the card and my Holiday & NEw Year's wishes to y'all, because the world is shite rn and if we want a better world, there's no one else than us to make it happen:

Some words about the design and my thinking process:
I always wondered what the female version of a Krampus is and I find the word 'Krampe' funny, so I decided these two are 'Krampen'. In German if somebody is really mean, you can call them 'Arschkrampe' - ass meaning ass and because these two ladies have really nice asses, that works for me as well lol.

Krampus cards used to be raunchy and funny in the past, that's what I found on the internet anyways. I am not from a region in Germany where Krampus is part of the regular holiday shenanigans. But whenever I look at the places where he is, I feel like it's a menacing and very patriarchic presence. The masks and costumes are cool, but I felt like giving this a twist and draw two female cryptids instead. One's cis femme and the other is trans, but I don't tell you who's who.
They are also very supportive of each other as you can see! Krampus is usually wearing a chain around his ankle to signify he's a devil tamed and in service of the church. Well fuck involuntary church service, these two are willingly chained to each other.
The tools KRampus is carrying (sticks or whips or flails) I heard are either to punish bad children or sinners or for self-harm to punish himself for his deeds. Fuck that, too, these two are just into consensual BDSM and looking for a nice consenting, adult slave to join in their fun.
Krampus usually punishes children especially and is carrying a sack on his back - sometimes he's depicted with a sack full of children. Well fuck child abuse, these two don't need any sacks, they're here to educate your children about trans rights and body autonomy, so they will have the words and context they need to express what they like and what not, and to set boundaries. Also the vocabulary to express their gender identity.

2024 was shitty in many ways and I do not think we entered rock bottom, yet. So brace yourselves, stay vigilante, do what you can to make this world a better place. Whatever you can without jeopardizing your health and safety too much, I mean. Maybe talk to that weird uncle or aunt at dinner - you might think they won't listen, but if you don't talk to them, you never know. Go to a protest or write a blog, go and VOTE and support your friends. We will all direly need it this year...
