An unlucky traveller from the far north, who stumbled into the old tomb of a long dead sorcerer to hide from the desert sun.
Though the sorcerer's body was long dead, his spirit remained and placed a spell upon the politely apologetic intruder, cursing him to now wander the world a Jackal-man as black as pitch.
Perhaps his politeness and apologies spared him a far worse fate, but who knows?
Perhaps this new form comes with drawbacks yet unseen.
