I've dealt with the likes of Atol. Some are irredeemable arseholes, but a surprising number, if you are patient, slow, and careful, might warm to you. Particularly if you offer them something of value.
Dunno which Atol would be (I suspect the former), but I'd try. That burn alone must be terribly painful.
