Atop the Western mountains, she stood. The blistering winds buffeted around her, lifted her wings, hissed in her ear and chilled her scales. The bright, blazing light of the horizon's sheen on the snow careened into her eyes and she squinted. She turned and looked opposite and shielded herself with magic. Wings extended, she erupted with her power around her.
"We're here." She called over the howling rush of wind. "Look!"
She pointed and stretched out her wings, a figure of power against the light behind her. The ice covered cavities in rock and stone were only just visible with the bluster of snow.
"Stay close to me."
Thanks so much to Tayilipse for this! I loved it. It's currently my best winter-themed background and am smiling when it shows up.
