Innocence and ignorance lost (by RavenousScorpian)

Back when Tani was under the employ of Carmilla Carmine, Odette wanted to study her gun, Entropy, as she had never seen such a weapon nor its abilities despite its appearance and sensed there was "something" about it, but Tani always refused for unspecific reasons.
During the fight with Roo, Tani dropped Entropy and came dangerously close to having her heart stabbed and ripped out of her mutilated chest, forcing Emily to break her vow of non-violence and pick the gun up to defend her girlfriend, in tears from her hopelessness, the horror of watching her loved one suffer and almost die, and from what she was about to do.
While she knew her choice would haunt her, she deemed it worth it as it would mean saving a life -a very personal life to her- against the Root of Evil herself.
What she didn't expect was the cost of wielding the gun. As soon as her hand wrapped around the grip, it happened:
Not just the gun shrinking down to adapt to her smaller size as if to "accept" her as its temporary wielder, but something else: some sort of corruption that altered her arm, causing golden bone spikes to burst out of it and her glove, shredding it, veins showing and forming a cracking pattern all over it and tips of fingers and nails becoming claws.
The corruption didn't stop here and also caused a few of her teeth to turn into fangs and the eye on the side of her tainted arm to not only turn black giving her a demonic appearance, but to also allow her to see new "things", like she unlocked some sort of ancient, forbidden knowledge, traces of eldritch arcanes forming in her mind and in front of her eye.
This knowledge had the immediate effect of making her "understand" how to effortlessly and perfectly wield Entropy, which she used to aim at Roo as the demon was about to impale Tani's heart with a chained hook.
Despite being confused by what was happening to her and the inexplicable knowledge creeping into her mind, her aim was steady and her resolve unfaltering.
She took the shot.
Roo wasn't hit, but that wasn't her Emily was aiming at. One shot was all it took to shatter the chain linked to the hook about to stab Tani's heart and throw Roo off balance. Even with the corruption in her body and mind, the seraphim's morals remained steadfast, not wanting to take a life, even if it was Evil Incarnate. But Emily felt tempted as she aimed Entropy again, this time directly at Roo's body, as a darker part of her called for the demon to be hurt.
She didn't get the opportunity, to her relief, as Tani, despite her severe injuries, immediately took the opportunity to grab the damaged hook and ran Roo through with it before violently slamming her with her wings to throw the demon off Tani. The impalement wasn't enough to endanger the Root of Evil, but it sure hurt her and her pride to be denied a victory like that.
Injured and intrigued by Tani's resilience and Emily's predicament, Roo yanked the hook off her torso before giving a wicked grin and disappearing in a shadowy mist, recognizing her defeat.
Immediately, Emily rushed to Tani's side, dropping Entropy nearby and trying to tend to Tani's evil-infused wounds with her angelic magic. As soon as the gun fell on the ground, it regained its normal size and Emily's corruption began to wear off.
It was over.
"I fear we are off the edge of the map and into the domain of monsters." Something darker for a change! As well as some newly revealed "abilities" for Entropy. I wanted to explore more the horror aspects of Tani for the more serious works that don't involve growy silliness. While she goes back to normal, physically, after this ordeal, Emily is still left with some mental scars and who knows how her encounter with Entropy's corruption will pan for her in the future.
