In all honesty, I do love El Che, but aside from him, Communism sucks. It's designes to work in a perfect world, and last time I checked, the world was FAR from perfect.

Oh well yeah. See, I'd be all for Communism if we lived in said perfect society where it was designed to work. And you're right, there is indeed nothing wrong with ideas. I just think that sometimes ideas should just stay as ideas until the time is right to shape them into something else.
Communism is the greater of two evils in terms of both Body count and efficiency.
Millions more have been slaughtered by Communists than have been killed by the United States, Nazi Germany, and every Fascist dictatorship in the history of man COMBINED.
And their economies were incredibly sluggish, and are often unable to provide basic necessities of life to their constituents.

You probably right about killings - but actually not to such extend.
But the economy was very efficient. Actually all BASIC needs were always provided before Gorbachev. But other unnecessary things (Private cars, electronics etc) were very expensive and actually even unable to get anyway. But the food was very cheap, also the apartments were not only cheap but in some special occasions they were free.
Any kind of strategic industry were at high end of development. From Aerospace to heavy industry. They were in high priority. And there were poor development in any kind of luxury things. But hell thats not important - today it's impossible to get because they are expensive! And also Soviets never forced any kind of initiative/improvising. I hate improvising! Why I have to show some initiative to get my money? Tht's not fair! So don't tell me that commies were bad - hey weren't ideal or even "good" but it's a much lesser evil then todays corporatocracy!

Why don't you watch this, you ignorant communist, and then defend this system. Shame on you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSVs1sQaw4Q
I know. I live here in Ukraine - the former Ukranian SSR. AND I KNOW HOW that was. There were no famine and starvation in the cities - my grandparents lived pretty safely that time. Small villages - yes. There was a hunger, and thousand of people died, but still, in big industrial cities it was plenty of food. CHEAP food.
no, that is obviously NOT fair!! What if your parents HAD been starved in the fields? What if their REALTIVES were? I can't believe you are actually defending this practice of starving MILLIONS, not thousands, MILLIONS of people to death, just because the people in the cities didn't die? Do you think you would have a computer under communism, or the internet?
Hell, that's pretty ridiculous. You know, many people believe they can give their LIVES for their country (Shamefully I'm NOT such a person) and many more already has given. And now you talk about COMPUTERS and about the INTERNET? You know, that's.. Not relevant things.. And by the way, look at Communist China. The DO have computers and even the internet (Even if it's politically correctly cutting down by State censorship - and I do believe there ARE reasons for that.)
And actually I never was a "fan" of Stalinist policies. I always said that the Golden Age of our former USSR was time of Khrushchev and Brezhnev (And maybe Andropov). They were probably finest leaders in our history. Everything was cheap and there was no problem with employment. Also, we had absolutely free state-provided apartments. And than there was that bitch Gorby and hellish abomination named Yeltsin, and everything came up to shit.

Ypu did not understand me right. I just tried to explain that the question about the lack of computers internet etc is pretty irrelevant in comparison to much greater deals like your country surviving collapse, as many people actually gave their lives for that country, not just some tiny little stuff. That is what i meant.
And you're probably a right-wing, corporate-owned, middle-class asshole with no historical knowledge about our countries if you think the capitalism system would have fixed the food supply problem by itself. There were simply no conditions for that and IF our country did not made the Industrialization plans and millions of lives won't been wasted, the world today probably had been devided between Nazi Germany and America.
"hurrr anyone who thinks for themselves is corporate owned"
and "middle class", really, it's somehow bad that someone worked for a living and is now middle class?
You're just a tool.
"There were simply no conditions for that"
Yes there was. Other countries with markets and wealth were fine. Nobody starved in free countries where people were allowed to grow their OWN food, sell it and it wasn't violently stolen from them.
The past 30 years has seen about 3 BILLION people lifted out of poverty:

Sorry you can't break out of your brainwashing.
These people fucking DIED you sick fuck. Why are you even on here, shouldn't you be masturbating to snuff films?

1) Because so called "middle class" - at least HERE, I don't know how it is there in your dumbass, super-tolerant - is pretty much a bunch of thieves and criminals, who do money from nothing - like price speculations, hiding their taxes from the State etc; At least big businesses don't fool people as much as small ones, small are selling shitty products for a pretty much big prices and doing whatever it takes to fool a client. I really don't know anyone who worked lawfully to become "middle class" - at least here. Almost everyone steals from others or from State at least one time.
2) Because, you moron, that our countries were under the rule of shitfaced Czars in the meantime of industrial revolution, who did absolutely NOTHING for the country and it's people; we just did not had all those industrial potential and development assets that European countries and the US had. Russian Empire before Industrialization was a fucking piece of mid-XIX century with almost fully agriculture source of income, with a very little number of (technologically under-developed btw) plants and factories.
3) And did not people died in, for example, American revolution? Or the Civil War?.. Or didn't those shitty nazies killed a lot? Or maybe people don't die today 'cause of corporate rule?

Is this a fucking joke? Are you retarded? Money for nothing? These people make sure you have food, electricity and running water. These are the people that designed your computer. People work for a fucking living, you wouldn't know what that's about. Price speculation? You mean providing needed capital to sectors of the economy that needs it so more wealth and jobs will be created? and hiding taxes, you think this is a bad thing? People trying to get a break from a federal government ruining their lives. It is true that some government created corporatism is the reason some people are rich, but 99.5% of them made it on their own.
"At least big businesses don't fool people as much as small ones, small are selling shitty products for a pretty much big prices and doing whatever it takes to fool a client."
This isn't even close to how business works. The shit you read in your socialist propaganda pamphlets is not the real world. All you are is envious of other people.
"that our countries were under the rule of shitfaced Czars in the meantime of industrial revolution, who did absolutely NOTHING for the country and it's people"
Then why didn't you do what america did and free your people? It turned a nation of farmers into an industrial powerhouse and paid the highest wages in the world, long before unions gained power. The point is you violently prevented these people from growing their own food and from selling it. You prevented them from creating wealth. The USSR murdered these people, do you not care?
You clearly have psychological problems.
"And did not people died in, for example, American revolution? Or the Civil War?.."
We're not talking about that, we're talking about the USSR. You know, the second greatest mass murder in human history?
We fought off the british trying to oppress us during the american revolution. The civil war was fought to free the slaves.
None of these wars are capitalism. Capitalism is simply people being free and having the right to trade with each other.

All that stuff I could probably had from my Government not private investors. If it would be Government, it were reall top-quality stuff for medium prices not the shit we have from private firms and small companies. Actually I can't say that major brands do shitty stuff but they are multinational companies with skyrocketing revenues not small-time ass-fuckers.
Of course hiding taxes is a very bad thing! Who do you thing get those money? Those wackos and their families, that's who! And those money could be spent on Government projects like building more cheap apartment stores or to create more oil-transit systems!
I am envious? Then why don't I complain about government politicians and bureaucrats, the are wealthy too and do live very good. But THEY are really deserve such a life (mostly) as they at least do something for us people instead of corps that only work for profit. Yes they sell us goods but they actually can do whatever to make money. Take PMCs - they are killing people for it!
You're really stupid or what? We didn't had much time! You americans had 150-200 years and we had only fucking twenty! How could you build a geopolitic superpower from a shithole full of crap and crap only, in a 20 years without major sacrifices? Probably it could work if we had at least 100 years bit we didn't.
Capitalism gives not only rights to trade with other people but also to full them and have benefits from their mistakes.

No private property = No self-sufficient fuckheads doing money from nothing and trying to overrun the State. When everything is owned by the Government, there is Justice and Equality. If the private owners are controlled and overwatched by the State pretty hard, it's still OK. But when people do have TOO MUCH economical freedom, it causes CORPORATOCRACY.
"No self-sufficient fuckheads doing money from nothing"
Except it's not from nothing, you have to create wealth for people to get money from them in a free market.
"But when people do have TOO MUCH economical freedom, it causes CORPORATOCRACY."
Except it's the opposite, dumbass. Corporations get their power from the state. Corporatocracy comes from government intervention in the economy. America was fine for 100+ years with noting like this until the progressive movement came along and the federal reserve was created.
"When everything is owned by the Government, there is Justice and Equality."
Who brainwashed you, this is never fucking true. It's like you took the wrong lessons from 1984 and every government in history.
I'm sure the millions of people killed under mao was "justice and equality".
No private property means no freedom, it's that simple.

In free-market system, shit does cost a little and really NECESSARY things (like food and living place) are pretty expensive. In Socialist system, it was really hard to buy shit like private cars or cell-phones (Because of deficit), but first-need things were really cheap and, not like in popular belief there in West, widespread - at least in Brezhnev-Andropov-Chernenko times, before dumbass Gorby. And there were a efficient public transportation system. All what is necessary were able to buy for a little money in first half of 80's. That's how it worked.
Corporatocracy comes from State's weak policy for controlling the Business. When bureaucrats do prevail over banks and corps, then there is order. The State must not only intervent into economy but it must has a tight control over corporate boards. That's how it would work, as it worked in SU for almost 25 years! And there was a great era, actually (Actually, oil and gas prices did their good too but not on that scale)
And personal freedom must end there where it does harm to other people. Isn't it? Probably some people can sacrifice some of their rights for better quality of life, monolithic stability and MUCH higher security means. Todays situations with terrorism and crime could never been, if Soviets won the Cold War.

They're only expensive because we have a government created central bank that takes our purchasing power away making us poor, also government heavily interferes in lots of ways in the market and it only causes the price to go up(see healthcare and education for good examples).

What? Food was really cheap? There were massive shortages that killed millions of people. Same shit happened in china. These things are way cheaper in a free market.
"Corporatocracy comes from State's weak policy for controlling the Business."
No it comes from excessive regulation where the corporations write the rules in the name of "regulating them". The only reason banks are so huge today is because of limited liability laws and the federal reserve, without this they would be a lot smaller and way more stable.
"The State must not only intervent into economy but it must has a tight control over corporate boards. That's how it would work, as it worked in SU for almost 25 years!"
Except it didn't work, people didn't even have toilet paper for themselves. Soviet union had to put in a semi market system for the thing even to kind of work and it still failed. Why do you think the people rebelled, they didn't want to be oppressed any more.
"And personal freedom must end there where it does harm to other people."
But you don't even believe this. All you want to do is harm other people. The facts speak for themselves.
Global capitalism(even in it's semi-corporatist form today) has brought 3 billion people out of poverty and communism has killed 100+ million.

Yeah it really was cheap. Bread was 5 koppek, and Kielbasa was for 2.50 RUB for a KILO! And even red caviar - the fucking litter was for a 35 RUB! And the apartment rent prices - all in all, with gas, telephone, electricity etc it all made up 15 RUB for a 70-square meters appartment! That's cheap. Not like today. And where were shortages? In fucking Ural or Siberia or other shithole-not-so-important? No shortages ever were in major cities that time. Well there were big, really big queues but anyway food and drinks were cheap and the State gave appartments for free! Absolutely free! You just had to wait for example like 5 years from registration and today it's up to impossible to buy an apartment after 5 years of saving money (for an average people). Yoy probably had that from Reagan idiotic speeches that we had major food incidents but actually it only started with Gorbachev. Actually not because of Gorby idiot, but because fucking oil prices got down 7 times. If not the oil prices we'd won that war. Just look at 60's and 70's. We were winning thanks to oil and gas and that was good era.
I LOVE this picture. Communism is EXTREAMLY flawed. They use that "anti corporation"as a bait, sure a big corporation isn't robbing, but the OVERLY large government that controls every aspect of life does, not only that, but everyone gets the same thing, theres no personal advancement at all, sure its ridiculous to have 20 cars and a mansion, but i would like to make more then minimum wage and atleast have an opportunity for a small raise for my hard work. Better DEAD Then RED.
What do Americans have against Communism? What have you been brainwashed to believe? Because anyone with an ounce of logic would know that Communism, whilst not being perfect, is innumerable times better than Capitalism. How many people have starved or froze to death because the people at the top don't wanna dip into their vast millions to help out? Fuck Capitalism through the ear!
