I decided it was time for some more lore art. Though his design technically isn’t final, T’vohn Lorah is arguably the main antagonist of Vynn’s story in Alvard. A former human mage that both founded the volcanic dragon race thousands of years prior and created the Ring, he is one of the most influential and infamous figures in Alvard’s history.

Though his physical body left the mortal plane long ago, his soul resides in and rules another dimension known as the Domain, an endless expanse of dark energy from which all volcanic dragon magic is sourced.

A volcanic dragon using their magic allows T’vohn to latch onto their soul and force their consciousness into the Domain for a time, usually in their sleep, and the greater magic usage makes their soul more vulnerable. It is within the Domain that T’vohn would attempt to infect the subject with his influence and send them back to the mortal realm as his pawn.

Escaping the Domain with one’s mind intact is not impossible… but frightfully difficult. One should always be mindful of their magic usage, lest they lose themselves to the Founder forever.
