The Jade Palace valley was in utter confusion. People ran left and right, villagers screamed, and flames were everywhere. As Po stood ready, he noticed some snaked and camels lay wounded on the ground. Someone had put up an offense. He couldn’t tell who it was, since the natives to the Valley were running about in terror. Then a white and black blur lept past him. Po was shocked. Was he dreaming? It looked like another panda!
A roar brought Po’s attention to the center of the town, where a larger panda swung a pick at a duo of camels. Po stopped. Could it be? Then, he felt something inside him affirm it. Po ran to help the panda and plowed through the camels. The other panda looked shocked, then Po walked up to him slowly. The two locked eyes, then smiled. “Dad.” Po said. The man smiled.
“Son.”
Tigress had seen Po and his father reunite, and was touched as she took a moment to observe, then her own attention was drawn to the stairs leading to the Jade Palace where a familiar sounding roar was heard. Indeed, as Po had seen another panda, she saw another tiger! The tiger fighting at the stairs was female, and had a brutal attack as well as radiant beauty. As Tigress had, she instinctively knew. “Mom.” She said softly as she ran for the stairs. “Mom!” She yelled, then was momentarily held up from advancing further by a camel, which she quickly eliminated. The other tigress paused, noticing this young female running toward her. “Mom.” Tigress said, smiling.
The older tigress looked shocked, then overjoyed. The pair ran towards each other and embraced. Tigress wept in her mother’s arms. “Mom, it’s you.” The mother tigress rubbed her daughter’s back.
“Yes Tigress, it is.”
Lihua fought in all directions, spinning her staff like a whirlwind, sometimes even using the rod as a propeller to throw herself in different directions. Po and his father fought side by side, as did Tigress and her mom. Occasionally, all three parties were joined with another fighting member, a panda or tiger here and there. Sometimes, the three parties joined together without acknowledging one another. Soon the sounds of battle died down. Po and his father breathed heavily as they observed the battered village, Tigress and her mom were pensive as they looked for villagers, and Lihua plopped onto the curb of the street, exhausted.
“How’d you guys get here, dad?” Po asked his father once the battle was over. Tigress and her mother joined the pair.
“We were driven here. The snakes and camels attacked us. We thought Gongmen city would be the answer, but it was deserted. So we tried here, and figured we had a better chance defending this place.” As he spoke, more pandas and tigers emerged from the town, as well as the occasional duck and pig.
Po’s dad turned to the few villagers. “Secure your homes and stay indoors! We’re going to take this fight to the enemy and bring your friends and family back!” The villagers cheered and rushed to their homes. Tigress’ mother stepped forwards.
“What do you plan on doing?” She asked.
“We have to travel across the dessert. I think the other villagers, as well as your fellow Kung Fu masters,” Po’s dad said, looking at Tigress and Po, “are being held captive. Snakes always need slaves. They’d never kill if they didn’t have to.”
“Before we go,” Tigress said, “may I introduce myself. I’m Master Tigress.” She said, bowing to Po’s father. “This is my mother and my tribe.” Po’s father bowed, as did the other pandas. The tigers bowed suit.
“Pleased to meet you ma’am.” Po said sincerely, bowing to Tigress’ mother. “I’m Master Po, the Dragon Warrior.”
Tigress’ mother bowed. “Tigress has told me a lot about you, in a short period of time.” Tigress grinned.
Lihua walked up to Po’s father. “And I am Lihua, a humble noodle maker of Gongmen city.”
“AND,” Po added, lifting the sheep onto his shoulder, “a pretty good kung fuer if you ask me.” Lihua blushed.
Tigress smiled.
“Alright!” Po’s father said, addressing the whole assembly. “Let’s go!” The force of pandas and tigers began to move.
Tigress snuck up beside Po and took his hand. Po looked down at it than at Tigress. “I love you Po.” Tigress said, pecked him on the cheek, then left. But Po didn’t look dazed as he did before. He wasn’t a shy boy anymore. He was a man, and he embraced the feeling he’d received. Then he smiled.
