edit: btw these have become a real challenge to fit a lot of activity and detail into really little tiny spaces.
From the Lost Underworld the kids head towards the next Sanctuary Location; an active volcano. Why not, let's dive in! What could go wrong, really? On their way, they run into a handful of temperamental enemies (hoho). A bunch of hot heads (hoho).
Evil elementals, animated piles of molten flames and the enigmatic Psychic Psychos wander the air-heavy corridors. What's this, more psychics? Who specialize in pyrokinesis? And misanthropes at that? But worry not, these lads are more than adequately prepared to show them who the real chosen spoon-bender heroes are.
Upon reaching the highest point in the volcano, the party encounters the eighth and final Sanctuary guardian, Carbon Dog. This fella is no pushover, lashing out with highly damaging fire attacks. Paula is spared the bulk of flame damage thanks to the fire-absorbing flame pendant. After a bit of a scuffle, Carbon Dog sheds his ashy exterior to reveal his extremely tough Diamond center. The battle wages on, but eventually Diamond Dog yields to all the aggressive psychic pressure laid into him by the four seasoned globe-trotting warriors. With the guardian out of the way, the path is revealed to the final sanctuary location; Fire Spring. A rather perilous little rest spot, located on a raised platform high above ground level which features a single spout flowing magma into a pool at it's base with an endless spouting flame in it's center. Ness has an odd sensation; as if he was watching himself as a baby. The final note is recorded, finally completing the full melody. And then... ~

<3 Diamond Dog <3
Sword of Kings isn't tooo bad to get, especially when you've built enough you can one shot the starmen with a sneak attack so it doesn't even go to the battle screen ^^
I do feel a lil sorry for Carbon Dog though. For being the last Sanctuary Boss he's probably one of the easiest ones, given the access to Multi-bottle rockets, AKA boss killer bombs <3

I'd always just use a multi-bottle rocket on Carbon Dog, turn one, knowing for an absolute fact that it would annihilate his entire first form in one hit but then the Diamond Dog would deflect it. So basically it was a one-stage fight for me that started with having to heal someone before their HP reached 0, but they have enough HP by now that you should be able to do that if you're not slow.
Do you have any plans for this series when it's done? Like, take all of these drawings you've made for the whole game, and put them together and... I don't know... all I know is that every one of these is jaw-droppingly beautiful, and it somehow feels like a crime not to do something beyond just posting them here.
