Yes but Pacific refers to the ocean so to call someone that means that they were born in a place like Fiji, Vanautu, the Phillipines Polynesia, or even Hawaii.
Whoever decided to call such a violent ocean "the Pacific" was dead wrong. Typhoons and hurricanes rage across the world's largest ocean and World War II was fought there.
