Cool dude, my grandfather was in the Africa Campaign during WWII

He was in until 1953. He was stationed in Austria and was sent to Korea but it ended before he arrived.

Who knows. At that time I think he moved to the transportation branch. I am not sure what he would have done there.

my great-grandfather fought at the eastern front, including Sevastopol but I dont know that much about it
in '45 my family got kicked out of the Sudetenland by the Czech and was fleeing the Soviets and build up a new life in Bavaria
my grandpa was among the very first draftees for new Bundeswehr (Luftwaffe) in 1951 then and my dad was an instructor in the army in the 80s

He enlisted in 1947. He was stationed in Austria during the Korean war and he was sent to Korea towards the end of the war but it was over before he got there.
