I am finally getting to working on unfinished pieces, gift art for friends/family and trades I owe. (In between doing commissions of course)
this is Iodine, original character created by Cerulesta. I had a strong urge to draw him after a quick paintchat roleplay a couple of months ago or so , but the sketch sat there unfinished...until now. I think he is a fantastic character. His profile , as linked, is well worth a read.

Did I mention that I love you?
I think I've said that on about 50 different pictures of yours or something, I swear. But I'm saying it again because oh my GOD THIS IS BEAUTIFUL fhdjkfhdljhfjkd
I feel like you do my own character better justice than I do artistically, judging by this picture at least. Totally replaced his old profile art with this masterpiece (which I am incredibly grateful for you allowing me to do, aaaaaaaaa), it gives off a far better feel of the sort of bastard you're dealing with than my previous little doodle of him ever managed. So now everybody will know how much of a creeper he is. EXCELLENT

O-oh, thank you! I don't see why that couldn't happen (at least within the realm of fantasy, obviously), but I doubt such an encounter would go in your favor... unless you consider being mocked, harassed, and eaten to be "in your favor". Which you very well might. I know I tend to, at least from my position behind the computer screen. >>;
But really, I'm flattered that you like him so much. He's always been one of my favorites that I've created.

No way! As i said before yesterday, i pretty much only excel from yours relying on colour and atmoaphere, not the actual drawing. even if the previous pic was a doodle it had such a perfect feel to it anyway.
But anyway thank you so much. and your comments are always so enjoyable to read.

Hands down, one of the best belly maws I've yet to see. :D
I love the details to the tongue and maw, with the interior flesh and thick drool doing a fantastic job at capturing the horror of what it can do to you. I love the diversity in size and shape of the teeth, beautifully enhancing a chaotic and deadly look and feel to it.
The creepy expression to the character himself, along with the way he's reaching for the viewer, just perfectly captures that demonic personality, and the slight blurring to the hand, as well as the tail behind him, does a marvelous job at moving this from a static, to a more dynamic picture. It feels as if he's actually reaching out for you.
I love the choice of light source, wonderfully allowing for more contrast of light and shadow, and capturing that natural fear of dark alleys.
Awesome job all around.

I have not actually seen many other belly maws, well, apart from the less well formed ones. ( the sort that open up in an alien-like fashion) so this one was very different , and i loved working on it.
Thank you once again for your great comments, pointing out what you like about this artistically.
