Walking through the shoreline forest, I made my way to a cross in the roads and stopped.

Some squirrels I had spoken too earlier, using a touch of druid magic, insisted that they heard strange noises to the left. From what I can see, that leads back toward another section of the crashed nautiloid, where I'm assuming more illithids might be. It could be dangerous if I run into a live Mind Flayer, but there could be more information on what's going on, or maybe a friendly surviving face. The forest also provides a bit of cover on the way over so I could stay out of sight more.

In the other direction, I can see the ruins of an old building, maybe a castle, maybe a church. Whatever it is, most of it has fallen apart except the base stone work walls, from what I can see. There might be some people posted up there who I could talk to, if I remember correctly, but with how unfamiliar the map seems and with the inconsistencies, who knows what I might find there. It's also wide open cliffs so I'd be able to see threats from a good distance.Huh, which way should I go? On
