for a lot of server-end devices, it doesn't make sense to use wireless :P higher speeds with wired, and well most of them are right next to each other anyway so just getting a few 24-port switches and some patch cables is easy, it's secure and fast and will very rarely need to be changed ;)

maybe in future when wireless devices can match gigabit/10gigabit speeds, he might be able to switch to wireless, but then there's a lot of other complications with making sure you've put all the wireless securities you can in and remembering which machine is which in the router... and then you have to get managed/smart switches which sometimes aren't cost effective... aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh I'm rambling. He's essentially stuck with the spaghetti monster of ethernet cabling for a long time 8'D

And i can't see in any way wireless becoming worth it for servers, for both safety reasons, and the fact that you can't expand the capacity of wireless stuff.
