Take a bite of the apple.
Verily, is it quite sweet.
Just one nibble is enough to please oneself, and then you take another bite, and another.
For days, you keep gnawing on the apple.
Nothing else matters to you, except for the apple.
You look behind yourself, you walk away from the tree, but the apple is all you can think about.
You can't walk away from it for even a day, as you can't simply get enough.
Eventually, all you do is just eat and eat, losing your sense of time, your passions, your reason for biting into the apple in the first place.
You've had enough, and you want to stop.
But it gives you a grim smile as it smacks it's lips.
"One more for the road?" it asks you each time you prepare to take your leave.
Each time, you always succumb to the temptation.
It is a parasite leeching you of what you are truly passionate in, and you're too far gone to quit so soon.
