Some illustrations of one part in my Ginga AU (yes AGAIN I just ended up recoloring my own art, I do it regularly now) in which I gave Weed and Gin a step-family.

Some time after the Russian dog arc, Gin found a new mate in the form of a Hokkaido Inu named Haru. Since this isn’t shithead canon Weed, Weed doesn’t resent her (though it took some time with him dealing with still missing Sakura) and eventually accepts Haru as his new mother. Gin and Haru have two pups named Seth and Cho who are Weed’s step siblings. Before Seth and Cho however, Haru had a daughter named Sachie with another dog who is now her ex-mate. Sachie is adopted into the family with Gin as her stepfather

Weed's canon brothers Yukimura and Joe are still present in my AU of course. I just gave Weed even more siblings. Also I just liked the idea of Gin having a yellow-colored mate, the silver and gold color motifs are too good to not pass up
