This page is pretty pivotal, though probably it doesn't come off as "OHMYGOSH" due to the subdued facial expressions and silently observant panels. That's okay with me, since I didn't want to make this out to be a huge freakout moment... just Nine quietly observing what he has already begun to suspect, and now knows to be a fact.

Nine? He doesn't speak to any of them - at this point he hasn't said anything since the first day they met. When he first met Aras, she treated him like a dumb dog, so he isn't inclined to believe she'd be forthcoming about any information with him. Plus, he doubts Aras would out her brother on anything. Nine wants to figure things out for himself a little too XP
I'm glad you picked up on the fact that Nine isn't scornful about this, but kinda upset about it. I really really think this scene is the turning point where you begin to understand what is so quintessential in these character's personalities and background (or at least the point where all of that starts to unravel).

Aww well that sucks, he's a junky? And i thought i came up with a better answer. What i thought was that when Nine saw Dice's bleeding was because Dice injected himself as well with that sort of tranq himself because he might also have one of those powerfull transformations or traits like the ones mentioned in your comic and it might've been dangerous if Dice is angered and Nine saw it himself so that is why he calmed down a bit when he saw Dice's bleeding arm and so on.
Haha, sorry i was half asleep writting that one, i didn't mean that it wasn't a big deal, just that its a pretty typical thing, kind of rare actualy in my opinion because sometimes people in theyre stories and such would make into a much bigger deal or something way more dramatic and different than just drug addiction.
