"Personal log number...1389...I think, I'm research chief Elizandra Montresor and I just returned from a exhaustive and very violent expedition to the surface, If I were religious I would thank external forces for being one of the few survivors, but as a pragmatic woman I thank my survival to my oversized and fluffly bodyguard...Danadriel has proven to be quite useful in the last months, the creatures of the surface are more agresssive and cunning than ever...its good to have an equaly ferocious monster on our side.
It has been 30 years since we found her, during one of the expeditions to the surface I was drawn by the noise of a child cry, for a moment I thought I was crazy, but I found a fluffly little canine baby inside an rusted metal crate, a mystery baby that somehow could survive the deadly toxins and radiation of the surface world...we had to bring it to the lab and study it! we conducted hundreds of tests on that little scared cub...I took pity on her, she could be a miracle to be studied but she was still a child, so I treated her like a child...my child, I fed, cleaned and showed love to that little fur ball, despite my coleagues recomending otherwise I got atached to that creature, I even named her Danadriel Montresor...the name I was planning for the child I never had...
Raising Danadriel was a gleeful time for me, she was a curious and very creative puppy...the problem is she didnt stood small for very long, by the age of 10 she was already the size of a bodybuilder, this worried the rest of the team...and eventually an acident happened, it was so fast I had no way to stop her, we had a particularly rude lab assistant, who got angry with Danadriel drawing on the floors, he tried to stop her by removing the crayon from her hand, she reacted violently bitting his head off and ripping his arms from the sockets, after that I was forced to put her on isolation, for the following years our contact was limited, I could only see her trough the armored glass, and could not give the confort she needed...it was painful for both of us.
Different from other creatures found on the surface Danadriel is intelligent, according to multiple IQ tests she ranks above average than the facility's population, during her insolation I kept her receiving lessons on an automated monitor, math related lessons make her sleep, art makes her joyful...history on the other hand makes her very agitated...the story of our ruined world is filled with war and suffering and it distresses her greately, at the same time she feels disturbed by conflict she wanna comit violence herself...its like she want "revenge" against a immaterial enemy, and as the time passed her urges for violence only got worse.
We never found other specimen like her so we have no way to study if this is a biological behavior, but regardless of the origin we had to address it, first we tried to expose her to a large mammal like a sinthcow in the hopes she would rip it apart, but instead she was able to befriend the cow and even pet it, after some interrogation we reached the conclusion that she needs a proper motivation to unleash her violence...so I had the crazy idea of taking her to the surface in our expeditions, took me months to convince the rest of the team to agree with it, but in the end due our increasing need for security they agreed.
To increase our chances of success we gave her a improvised flak armour and a black beret so she would feel uniformized and part of the team, and it worked marvelously, once she puts that beret she ceases all her silly behaviours and get focused on the mission, for the first mission the engineering department was kind enough to provide her a massive spear made of a solid steel rod sharpened on the end, it may sound primitive when compared with our charge weapons but in her massive muscular hands it is more efective than any of our rifles, in her first mission she shreded dozens of surface mutants with ease, it was a mission without a single casuality, and I recorded everything to show my superiors and prove my point.
the facility directors got impressed with her performance and allowed me to add her permanently to the expedition staff, as a gift for her performance she was rewarded with a proper uniform a 70mm giant shotgun and a life sized hyena plushie for recreation...she absolutely loved the hyena...but now the facility directors want to start a clonning program to make copies of her...and I have a bad feeling about it..."(Elizandra Montresor)
silly doodle just to break the art block, I was planning to make the story more like a scp document, but I'm not familiarized with their writing style so i gave up. :U
