Happy new year! Did you know the game is going to turn a year old tomorrow? Seems a bit surreal. But here is another year. So here is the first update of the year. This time featuring a fairly requested feature. the ability to change your base form. But either way here is the changelog for the update.
Added the ability to change your base form into any enemy you transformed into before (the unlock condition will change later). starting the run as one with the benefits and drawbacks that include. (you can do so by interacting with the machine near the hub)
Changed regression logic a fair bit. you'll regress back into your base form as long as you have no active transformations. this regression is random across all non-base form limbs.
Excluded the map from the colorblind filter.
Changed the way 3rd transformations interact. now if a limb is trying to transform into 3 different things, instead of the 3rd one outright taking over, it will now decrease the second transformation until its nearly gone.
Enemies will now be cleared around the spawn area when you get knocked out.

Depends on what you're talking about. If your talking about the game using something other than ascii art then no. There are no current plans. Simply because i'm not an artist.
If you talking about the ability to change say your color or symbol to represent yourself. Then the answer to that is, i don't have plans for it but its a good idea. I might implement a system for that. i wanted transformations to eventually change your player symbol and color but if you're in your base form i don't see any reason why we can't customize it.
So yeah, thank you for the idea!

I assume you mean create such a file? In that case probably not. For a few reasons. one is that i think that level of control goes against the idea of the game. a pretty large amount of focus goes into keeping everything not feel that "artificial" Which is why things like transformation speed is non-linear and your state is hidden unless you expend a resource to learn about it.
Secondly its kinda already a patreon feature. As i give access to a console which allows you to change variables like that. Now not to just conderdict myself but honestly i view if your using a console your outside the preview of what's intended in terms of tone.

In the patron build, past floor 28
In the public build... apparently never. This comes from a mistake in the enemy looping code, dragons are supposed to appear past floor 32 But enemies loop on floor 30. Which means they'll never spawn. (This is fixed and should never happen again, because instead of having a static looping number, its # of enemies * 4). Sorry about that.

By the way, is there also a "shortcut" to X floors? Because passing 30 floors is a bit tedious. After 7-8 my concentration level goes down XD
By "shortcut" I mean that when you pass a "milestone" (for example, passing 10 floors, 15 floors, etc.) you can start from floor X. Adding to the "advantages" out of the game (the one that increased mana regeneration, maximum life, etc.), the only thing missing would be a "advantage" of level and "shortcuts".
I mention this because when it is public, I don't think I will spend much time to climb 30 floors.

The main reason why is because it becomes a question of, why do you want floor skips? The reason is because there is an underlying engagement issue with the game. The main cause of the issue is that the game doesn't feature too much run verity, and generally speaking becomes a tad uninteresting after a bit (at least in my opinion). So the only interesting content is the transformations. and thus getting to new transformations faster skips the "boring stuff".
Which... i really don't want my game going down that route. Bad end theater games is extremely common in the TF space (from what i observed). and honestly i really want this game to show that you can do more with the concept. But skipping this content basically proves that there is nothing of value in-between the transformations.
