“Your world will reflect what is truly in your heart.”
This is a piece of concept art for a future animation project. It has only existed as a set of ideas and a vague first draft. Now I mean to establish the look. I want a very photographic feel. A shallow focus and overexposure, but strong colors.
Our bird, named Cedar currently, is a collector. He's fond of man-made things and has a nice pile in his small hollow. The other birds find his fascination and use of these items rather odd, but Cedar believes he is on to something brilliant. Right now, he huddles under his small blanket seeking comfort.
As for the painting itself, I had a lot of fun with the lighting here. I'm not sure how translucent butterfly wings really are, but this symbolism has been in my head for awhile.
I'd love to hear your thoughts .
