I absolutely agree with this message!

I'm a very experienced lady meanwhile in the fandom and i can tell you: It's so important to me to have my "anchors" from good old times.

There was an artist i've known for many years. He'd made comics, adult comics and sidestories and everything. He had his continuous cast-members i and many other watchers have grown up with.

But then there was "Patreon" and the possibility to earn serious money with his talents.

His skills increased with the years. Until that much, it's hard to believe how detailed everything is now. Fur, lightning, facial expressions... today he is one of the most skilled artists i've ever known.

But he put his old cast into oblivion... nearly everyone of his members isn't much more of some flat "Ask me anything"-topics anymore. No story, no bindings...

All his actual characters seem like totally perverted and immoral, soulless husks today. Beautiful to look, but they are filled with emptyness and it feels like their whole existence is just to satisfy a broad spectrum of filthy internet-kinks.

YOU, W.A.... you're doing the absolutely right thing! I don't want to say "It's bad to bring in some new and fresh winds!". But... it just feels right you stay loyal to your cast!

Understandable. Making similar faces is something that I still do even after five years of drawing, though I have tried to be more experimental.
To me though, the similarities each of your drawings have looks more like a stylistic choice to me than just being lazy (or whatever your comments say).

This is why I've always gravitated towards comic strips. Nobody cares what your characters look like if they have interesting personalities and are in a good story.

Draw what you want, how you want. These sacks of soil weren't paying you anything, anyway!
