Yeah "plus" is ambiguous and annoying, even for us native speakers. But what you used is what someone would say in this situation (the first "plus" actually helps making it less ambiguous).

I'm happy if it's at least mildly accurate. xD And nah, i'm not tiring myself out, no worries. I got a massive backlog atm, a lot of this was drawn months ago.

It's also a nice touch making the setting more grounded in a specific region (and I wasn't expecting the story to take place in Bretagne, where I'm from lol)

Truth be told, i went for region since France as such doesn't exist in this setting, neither do any other RL countries. It's an alt-history setting, history is similar but not quite the same. And since this story is gonna jump through time and space a lot, i figured it'd be the easiest way to give people at least a rough idea where the story is taking place at a given moment. Keep the confusion to a minimum, haha.

You could try "Donne m'en plus!" which Google Translate tells me is the translation for "Give me more!" You could also just try "Plus!" but given that the story is primarily in English, this is unlikely to be understood. ^^;

Maybe the whole forwards-and-backwards thing is just another example of contronyms. Sometimes things mean their own opposite. Context can help; someone saying the word "more" followed by a phrase that means "I need/don't need more" will probably be understood as "They DO want more". If they didn't want more, the solo word would probably be something like "non" or "assez".
