The finished morning-glory phoenix. Or mourning phoenix, whichever way you want to put it. She does look quite sad.
I am also probably nuts for doing as much detail on this thing as I did. But ah well. I think it looks really good. :) She is based on a white crane, though I took plenty of liberties with the basic design.
