Even sidekicks have their dreams. Never give up on them, no matter how impossible they seem.
So apparently they're revamping the old Thundercats series (anime TMNT style). I never watched the show as a kid, so I thought I'd check it out before the overhaul and see what all the fuss is about. Sorry to say, I wasn't too impressed. The animation and character design is fun to watch through the nostalgic lens but it just wasn't very interesting. The characters are dull, the conflict wraps up nicely at the end of each episode, and everybody learns a family friendly lesson at the end. It's just a generic animated show like He-Man or G.I. Joe with cat people thrown in.
Still, I'd like to see what they're going to do with it in this new show.

Thundercats has one of the all-time best cartoon introductions, an intro that the actual cartoon can't come anywhere close to equaling. The acting is poor, character designs are fantastic, and actual plots are 'meh.' Silverhawks was another Rankin/Bass production from the same animation studio with similar (slightly worse) quality.

That's very sweet. Snarf's expression, as he cuddles the teddy bear, is just priceless.
You perfectly captured that childhood warmth and happiness that day-dreams give us -- wishing and wanting for something so badly, knowing that if you wish hard enough it will come true...
