The biologically correct term would be symbiont, if it lives inside its host it's an endosymbiont. "Symbiote" is something a certain comic books made up, lol.

At what point something is a parasite or a symbiotic creature, is apparently a contested subject, see definition section:

Back in my biology class, we never learned the term symbiont at all, i first heard that term used in Stargate of all things.


In this case, Murmur didn't ask for permission before taking over Noise's body, and he's kinda forcing him to do his bidding... Noise probably sees him more like a parasite, lol.
