Pokemon Mystery Dungeon has always been famous for his great emotional moments, scenes when you can't do anything but cry from the sheer feelings the game is giving you. But what are the best ones? The most emotional, the best directed, the ones that make people cry the most? One could argue the scenes where the protagonist leaves his partner, but I honestly think it's not always the case. So I decided to pick for each chapter (aside the fourth one, which I still have to finish) the saddest part and draw it, in what's probably my most ambitious art project as of yet. So prepare the hankies for wiping your tears and let's start with the entry for chapter 1, Rescue Team.

Rescue Team has always had, in my opinion, the problem that it's very weak compared to his successors. The still creaking gameplay, the simplistic story and the not-very-well developed characters make too much clear for my tastes that it was a sperimental project. Despite that I still appreciated the plot as it still has his big moments. My favorite moment must be the one where the Judge of Darkness lifts Gardevoir from the Ninetales curse. This in my opinion wins the title of best emotional moment from Rescue Team because it's very well constructed. I love the speech Gengar gives to change the Judge's mind, and it's satisfiyng to be his only hope after everything he put us through. What makes everything great, however, it's his calm acceptance of Gardevoir completely forgetting about him, as long as she'll be free. This moment only makes Gengar the best character in this game.
