I'm sure you can't have failed to hear about the recent sad passing of Britt Allcroft (and I sincerely apologise if this is the first you're hearing of it). Obviously this news comes as a massive blow to all of us who have appreciated her work over the years. I think it's safe to say that Britt deserves more credit (or blame) than anyone else for the path I've taken in life. I'm sure I wouldn't be doing anything like what I currently do if I hadn't been inspired by her work - and god knows I'm not the only one.
I'm not always able to pay tribute to my creative inspirations when they pass on, but Britt Allcroft was such a major inspiration that I just had to do something for her. As luck would have it, I had a spare couple of hours last night in which to knock something together, and I came up with this simple-but-sweet profile of Kyoko - the charaacter who I think would be most affected by this news - getting ready to add her own little sparkle to life...
