i spent the last few months of 2024 finally watching fullmetal alchemist brotherhood after it had floated on my periphery for like...half of my life. i had always known there were some cute guys in it (i've previously gotten gluttony and barry tfs despite never seeing either iteration of the anime), but i'd just never got into it until now, and was always vaguely kind of bothered by people so zealously recommending it

i would like to apologize to those people. you were 100% correct to be so goddamn annoying about it. fullmetal alchemist brotherhood might be the best anime like...ever. the entire last block of episodes had me crying my eyes out - and, most importantly, it made my "oh he's kinda cute" vibes from gluttony go into absolute overdrive. the most adorable cannibal ever made. that bit where alphonse squeezes his belly and he blushes? i die. they should've saved him from pride.

either way, it led to me getting this from the ever fantastic  tfmizuki, who did an absolutely wonderful job and made me try and push it a bit further. lots of messing around with shading and such. i don't know that it's all THAT good but it felt satisfying to do it and i'm happy with how it came out.
