People have come to take far too much for granted. We have instant *LIGHT* at the flick of a switch, hot/cold/drinkable water at the tap, washing machines and dryers, not to mention all the various types of clothing and footwear, modern vehicles that easily cover hundreds/thousands of miles in a time that would have anyone living pre-1900 in utter disbelief.
It's all good, right up to the point it isn't (Flint Michigan folk, I'm talking about you!).
With America's entire infrastructure collapsing right before our very eyes, the air, water and food poisoned, I wonder how much more it's going to take before we're reliving another collapse, this one making the fall of Rome seem like a picnic ruined by a rain cloud?
Dismal thoughts, but something to consider each time you get that cup of water out of the tap, and consume it.
