Running from the Nightmares
"What the hell's gotten into everyone?!"
"No time to explain, just keep running!"
Crap... How long have we been running from them? My breath is running short, my paws are aching, and I feel so lightheaded... It's not every day that your friends try to hunt you down. Then again, considering everything else that's happened in the past couple of years, I figured I would get used to chaotic situations like the one I found myself in.
Boy, how wrong I was.
When we finally found a place to hide, Joseph started to fill me in on what was making all of our friends go crazy. Something about a spirit intent on killing us... and right now, that spirit is controlling our friends, being forced to chase after, and maybe even kill us... It all just feels like a waking nightmare, one that I really want to wake up from now. I asked Joseph if he knew a way to bring them all back to normal.
"I do," he answers, "but you'll have to buy me some time."
I was afraid he would say that...
