Happy New Year! With the recent discovery of the long-lost TAT Communications logo, I decided to do my own parody of it.
For a little background, the company TAT Communications was founded by Norman Lear and Jerry Perenchio in 1974. "T.A.T." stood for a Yiddish phrase pronounced "Tuchus Affen Tisch", which roughly meant "Enough talk, put your ass on the table". This particular logo however didn't debut until circa 1979-1980. It was seen only on the original CBS broadcasts of shows like "The Jeffersons" and "One Day At A Time", but was removed from all syndicated reruns after TAT was folded into Embassy Telecommunications in 1982. Until its discovery on December 28, 2024, it was widely regarded as lost media. Now, it's unclear whether other TAT produced shows like "Diff'rent Strokes" or "The Facts of Life" originally used this logo, but I guess we'll never know.
As a logo fanatic/connoisseur, the unearthing of this logo is a huge deal for people like me, who follow this kind of stuff.
