Once upon a time, my family was featured in a book called “Uncommon Heroes,” dedicated to people in the LGBTQ+ community. I was one of the first kids adopted by a gay couple (one of them cut my cord).
Both of them are gone now. Dark secrets were discovered, lies exposed, truths came to light. And some things that make it hard to keep moving forward. Now it is just what it is. As of now I legally changed my name and slowly began to forge a new family (like
Fortuneotter who was my best friend since Preschool and has grown up with me.)
2025 is going to be hard. New name, new job, new everything. Hoping that life will make sense someday. But for now, I will keep walking forward. Here is hoping that things are…ok in the future. Happy New Year. I love you all.

🫂 This sounds so painful. I'm very sorry this happened to you! All these experiences with people who are corrupt, people who are liars, abusers, really make it hard to live life around any people. You never know who you're really safe with. And trust is the most fragile thing to try and develop for someone.
