When people think of hybrids, they think of a Prius. Slow acceleration, slow top speed, and just overall something that is truly horrid looking that you'd have to be caught dead in. But this car, this car is much different.
This car is not like a prius at all. In fact it's the exact opposite. It has 60 more ponies, bumping power up to 198 hp vs 139 hp from the 2007 Prius. It also looks better than the prius. The only only way to tell that it's a hybrid is by the small silver badges on the front side doors and the trunk where you would normally see a 2.5 sticker.
0-60 comes in about 7 seconds (Altima 2.5 and Altima 2.5 S- ~8 seconds) The hybrid model is faster than it's gas models. There is a lot to say about this car so note me if you want to know more.
It's a 2.5L I4 gasoline engine rated at 158 hp and 162 ft lbs of torque with a 40hp electric motor for a combined 198 hp and 199 ft. lbs of torque.
This car is one of the seven fastest hybrids sold on the American Auto market today. The car was taken out of production in late 2011 because of the lack of sales.
I get around 32 mpg and approximately 400-500+ miles per tank filling up every 2-3 weeks. If you want something that is economical without having to buy a prius, try this!

I already do have a spoiler on the car. x3 It's an OEM part that was ordered separately. I think it gives it sporty intentions. I do agree with you. I was thinking tint and maybe getting a magnaflow. It all depends on if I get a better job because the one I have right now is getting me nowhere cash wise.
You see my point. x3
It isn't a conventional automatic. It's a CVT transsmission. They are standard on most Nissans now. It basically has an infinite number of gear ratios that it uses to propel the vehicle.
Performance is phenomenal... for a hybrid. Being that it uses the CVT, you get instant torque with the batteries and the engine torque builds up from there. But the best part is that instead of shifting and losing power, It's full power all the time (When you push the pedal to the floor that is.) Basically, the higher your RPMs, the faster you'll accelerate.
I've beaten a couple older Civics and Camrys but that's about all that I have raced.
I got this car from my father because I was looking at cars that had 150k+ miles and I knew they wouldn't last through college. The next car I get, will definitely be a standard transmission. If at all possible, I'd like to buy a 350Z. My mom has one now and I love driving it, but she won't give it to me because of many reasons.

These cars were in rougher condition. Rust and all the nitty gritty stuff that nobody likes. Besides I needed a car for school and my dad had found a nice car that he wanted, but he wouldn't buy it unless I bought his car off of him.
To be honest, it was a great buy. It's got 80k miles. It'll last me through college and beyond, and I'll still be able to sell it at a decent value.
I would prefer a manual. But this car was up for grabs. It's got a bit of kick to it and it really can get up and go.

Well, there's an expensive clear coat type thing. But most people don't bother with it. I can't afford it, the car has already seen winters since 2007. To be honest, it doesn't look all that bad. I think I'm going to wash it in the winter when its warmer weather... But there's not much you can do unless you get the expensive stuff.
