Name is a fusion of cony/coney "made of the fur of a rabbit" and checkered, which is both the common fabric pattern, and checkered giant rabbits being an inspo. They are a dust bunny/plush blend.


Dex entry: If your house is suddenly lacking dust, chances are a Checony has found itself at home there.

Alt Dex entry: Checony have spot pattersn like Spinda, the number of spots and markings vary, but the ears are always the same. Some people compete to collect the most spotted Checony as a bragging rite.


Alt Dex entry: Checony are believed to be humans who loved cleaning becoming restless in the afterlife and taking up the mantle to clean up the world anew. This Pokemon often fights with Mincinno.
