TRANSCRIPT
It's been a busy few days, though in a good way. Lily and Jared have been telling me everything they can about what I went through these past months.
Firstly, there was no eclipse here, but Jared thinks a cult believed to be from that void place is responsible. Nobody really knows anything about them, but they only appear on their terms, and strange occurances happen when they do. Still, it raises the question, why would they attack a bunch of bandits? I fear they weren't the target, though.
Secondly, Lily has also been getting these dreams. They differ from mine, but still the same concepts. Dark, desolate, and sad themes with no specifics.
Thirdly, Lily was also a C3 reject like me, but she failed the mental tests. She was not 'emotionally fit' for her purpose. So they gave her medication to surpress her weilder abilities and make her docile. Now that she is off them, Jared has helped her regain herself. But it seems her abilities have not come back, probably by design by STEEL. Still, she has come a long way since I saw her back at the facility. I am genuinely happy for her.
But there was another matter that Lily told me. The facility had more than just C3s. Due to her drugged state, she can't remember them. So, not only is it possible that other C3s escaped, but other units too.
I've spent most of my time trying to process all this, with the help of Lily and Jared. It's getting better, but Lily convinced me that going to the New Years celebration would give me a much needed boost.
And she was right. Townsfolk lit some combustibles by the base of the wall and 'fanned the flames' of the green glow to take advantage of the updraft.
It's beautiful.
