The two men come from different backgrounds, but there is a good symmetry in the two occupations: one that saves those from fires and one that is of the ocean.

This is Joseph in SCBA and Brody wearing SCUBA with a unique kind of full face mask with a double-hose regulator that seems common in furry art. :)
I imagine that the yellow hi-vis belts on Brody's legs are used to denote him as Captain of a dive team, similarly to astronauts in spacewalks.

Joseph Keahi is an Arcanine gijinka (anthro) firefighter. Brody Kahurangi is (from what I can gather) a Captain of an underwater research base who has underwent gene editing to be a sealman, hence the whiskers. I do not know in canon if he is a diver, but I decided to do that for this fan art. :)
