My summary of art for 2024!



I’ve been doing these art summaries at the end of the year consistently since 2021, and I always look forward to filling this out! As I’ve said before, this is one of my main motivators to create at least one fully illustrated scene per month (though for May I didn’t make any full illustrations, so I had to settle for dancing Jamie), as I feel those most accurately display the full extent of my primary art style. I think the quality of my work has improved compared to last year, as I find it does in some way with each passing year, though I do admit my improvement evolves at a relatively slow rate. I experimented more with shading and lighting, and I find it interesting that it seems I favored certain colors/tones this year; lots of pinks and yellows! I tend to be more of a cooler colors person, and was surprised to realize I favored warmer colors in my best pieces.
