"Ugh. I guess a break won't hurt."
The cookie patterned runner continues to stroll along the neon streets. Lights shining from above and all around her, while adverts scream begging for her gaze. She finds a concrete railing and sits along it, fixating on these legs attached to her. These legs forged from steel, wiring, hydraulics, state of the art running technology, and a lease..
"These aren't my legs.." She thinks to herself once again, as she's reminded what her pay cuts go toward. Years back Cookie worked as a courier, however suffered from an accident that resulted in her legs being amputated. A bio medical corp offered to lease her new cybernetic legs, one of the many sources of revenue for this company. Of course she took the deal so that she could continue working, knowing full well it would make her a slave to the corporation. Missing even one payment would involve repo coming in and taking her legs on the spot.
"These aren't my legs.. They're the corps legs." Luckily during the day she works as a courier and sometimes bodyguard for the bio medical corp. At night is where she makes her real living as an edgerunner. Where she can finally feel free in this structured and caged world, honoring the memory of those she lost.

Oooo, more Cyber Cookie and more backstory! ^!^ Love the shorts, good choice given her situation. And great way to accentuate her booty. 🐇🍑💚 Heheh~ 💚 Love the design on her cybernetic legs! ^!^ Incorporating all of her colors into them, and placing them about in a manner that not only highlights every joint, but the flow of the design as well. Super clever, hun! ^!^
They also look very springy and light. ^!^ Perfect for both lines of work. Hehe.
Speaking of, love the simple, but complicated, story behind them. Like making a deal with a devil, she gets what she desires at the cost of her freedom. But fights to get it back. Hehe! ^!^ Even though she's kinda been turned into a workaholic because of the evil company's enslavement of her.
Also love the way the story leads up to her thinking about all of that. It flows so organically. ^!^ Which is kinda poetic, given that it's about a world of cybernetics. XD

Thank you very much! It was very fun coming up with a modern design. My goal with designing the legs was to make them just slightly off from her base fur color to be noticeable. Cookie sees those legs and immediately feels a sense of body dysphoria. They're not her fur color, glowing on the side with coolant, but close enough to her original color that the corp that paid for them would go "See? They're perfect! That'll be a couple grand a month."
This version of the character is certainly very fun, definitely a cathartic way to project my frustrations with the modern world.

You're super welcome, hun! ^!^ Oooooo, I'd say goal accomplished! That adds a whole other layer to this. The subtle emotional manipulation of the evil corp to make she more submissive, once again, I say, like a devil. Giving her what she wanted, but seeking to get away with giving her all the pain and suffering they can.
Really hitting close to home, and can totally see what you mean by expressing frustrations with the modern world. Fortunately, no matter how hard they try, those fucks can't conquer the nature to be free and happy.

Also sounds like she needs to figure out how to hack in and get it so the corpo can't get her legs ever again or find a way to bring the corpo down!
Then again its a cyberpunk world and part of the entire thing is knowing and acknowledging that changing the world isn't as easy a thing as it seems.

Thank you very much, I really appreciate the compliment! I do tend to go for characters that lean more toward more natural fur colors and patterns, just a personal preference of mine.
