78 is alive! I was in disbelief when I saw her, but then came true joy. I thought I watched her die back in the void, but it turns out the doorway she was pulled through was the Well on the other side. The people here saw a doorway appear out of nowhere with the faint silhouette of a person on the other side. So they pulled her out.

78 was ecstatic to see me too, and gave me a massive hug, then started crying in my arms. I must say that I was caught off guard from this outburst of emotions from her. Back in that facility, she was quiet and almost robotic. But not so much here.

The town's leader, Jared had taken 78 under his guidance. He gave her food, shelter, helped her with the traumatic events during the void, and got back on her feet as a scribe. Many folk around here have basic literacy, but only a few were fully literate, all dealing in the water trading business. He also gave her a proper name, 'Lily'.

She seemed happy here. Whenever she talked, she had the biggest smile on her face. I felt happy for her. But inevitably, the questions were directed back at me. I didn't want to upset Lily after seeing her so happy, so I was hesitant, but Jared encouraged me to speak. I spared no detail, the void, the bandits, the eclipse, then my journey here. Lily gave me another hug, but this time, it was my turn to cry.

And did I ever cry. I didn't realize I had so much bottled up in me, but I guess we don't realize how much something is weighing us down until we begin to offload it.

I think I should stay here for now. Jared wasn't able to get me any answers, but he offered me a place to stay while I get back on my feet again.
