This all looks great - I'd love to see more of that pulp comic with the massive Meganium

At first I thought that the Pushbitton Auto-Diner was just a silly little device you invented yourself for this setting.

But then I remembered that Automats, essentially vending-machine restaurants, were a real thing in the past.

And by in the past, I mean they're still around!

That's a (very) distant relative, actually! Sonja's a descendant of an old royal marriage a few generations removed from the present, but still close enough to be considered kin as far as bloodlines go

So the whole family is big like that? Wonder how hard it’d be to get q family portrait with them all lol

Immediate family would be about that size on average, give or take a few inches of waistline. In Sonja's case though that figure's from some serious abuse of full incense

Just reading through that newspaper excerpt, and seeing (What I believe to be) Gel de Cervaeu again- had me going through the wonderful experience of combing for each and every piece of information on this world you've built. I truly do love it, and how the slow update of information continues to broaden our view of the world and events.
It gives it the feeling of being as ever-evolving, perpetually moving as the real world.The emergence of moving pictures being shown prior- and the heavy hands of the """"public"""" having obtained wide access around photographs... at the same time that aspects of industrialization have moved far enough and fast enough to automate processes of eating- something we're still iffy on to this day.

That places so much emphasis on the focuses, on what research would get funding- and the absolute lack of job security- of right; showcased prior in pieces like Disparity, within this culture.

(Also- the strike being what seems to be a small after thought in terms of the front page; nearly drowned out in comparison to the squabbles of the supple, a minor aside in comparison to the event which I believe is afar, further characterizes the media in such a wonderful way.)


With that in mind- and how many moving pieces there are that we the audience know of- I'm excited to see where things go next.
Will the Nethellian states use this opportunity to further bolster their forces or build up their aerial power? Will Gel De Cervaeu be able to take advantage of the ensuing chaos- and in what sort of ways? What would/will this strike mean for the 'mons back home?

Minor aside; The works of the Mithian Civil affairs, and how solidly I presume they're being ignored by the Persian, the contents of the poster to the very small detail; leave me wondering if it's propaganda to make sure you're "in good company"- a notice to try and watch out for those around you and make sure they're doing well- or something else entirely.



All of this praise and excitement- without saying a singular word to the quality of the art. Which, I believe in your case is self evident. Expressions, Framing of the small comic between the Wartortle and Meganium, Design of the clothing- Accessories- Furniture, Attention to detail in respect to making use of the style of posters at the time... I might even be underselling things by not going into detail.

That aside- I hope you had a Merry Christmas, and that your New Year is wonderful.
