Carlos's parents were both werewolves and he was born like this. His mother had moved from Mexico to Virginia and met his father. His mother was the one who had given him the silver necklace he always wears, and he hasn't taken it off in years, ever since he'd first been gifted it. His father had been the one who taught him hunting and embroidery, while his mother had taught him how to cook for himself.
He had figured himself out a while after they had already gone.
The cottage he now lives in alone is full of taxidermy, trinkets, and other such things he enjoys collecting or making, though he sells quite a bit of his creations since his home has been getting quite full recently and it makes him some good money on the side apart from bartending or boxing.
