TRANSCRIPT

I made it, and holy shit was it a mind-fuck when I first saw it. This 'Well' was an underground river, split by this wall, and somehow gravity is sideways? I see that unmistakable green glow at the base of the wall, so I'll pass it up to another oddity of Sol.

Anyway, I made my way to the settlement and saw there were people, normal looking people. No indication of anything affected by the eclipse. Though the people did give me odd looks, so I guess that hasn't changed. Still, I was tired, nearing the end of the day, so I asked a local if there was any place I could rest and resupply. He looked at me, confused for a second, but pointed me in the direction of a local inn.

I met the innkeeper, and he, too, looked at me strangely for a second. He asked how long I'd been here for, and I told him that I had just arrived. Something sparked in his eye, like he just realized something but didn't elaborate. Without question he set me up with a room for the night and gave me some food and water. Refused any payment despite my offer. Told me that there is someone here that would want to see me, but that would need to wait until tomorrow as it was late, and I looked like Hell. He wasn't wrong, wandering the desert for 2 weeks after the whole eclipse situation would take its toll.

Anyway, time to get some rest. Figure out what's going on in the morning.
