It was a great idea.

"READY!"

No, not just a great idea. It was a WONDERFUL idea.

"SET!"

He leaned over the sled, hindpaws on the snow, ready to kick off. He was definitely going to win this.

"GO!"

He kicked and unfurled his wings. No one had said anything about special ways of getting more speed. He was going to WIN!

The sled hit a bump in the snow. His tail instinctively dipped to correct for it, and hit the snow as well. His wings spread further than he'd intended. The sled pulled further upwards, flying out from under him, and described a short arc in the air before crashing into a snowdrift.

He didn't see the crash; a second before it happened he crashed as well, his head and neck buried in the soft snow. So much for winning.

Combined with the yoga picture I'm starting to see a pattern of Aurem trying all kinds of things that sound like fun and just ... not being all that good at them. It doesn't stop him from trying the next idea, though. And he has LOTS of ideas.
