A recipe for the best cookies dating all the way back to 1952!
Ingredients:
3/4 cup (1½ sticks) butter, softened
1 cup packed light brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups (12-oz. pkg.)
Chocolate Chips
Recipe:
1-Heat oven to 375°F.
2-In large mixer bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
3-Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
Yield: About 7 dozen cookies.
