In legends of Chima, Swamptar the Swamp Creature was a member of the Nomads. He was the only Fish to be affected by Chi in Chima, the rest disappeared long ago. Swamptar would find solace with the Crocodiles as their greatest warrior and a faithful servant to the Crocodile Royal Family. As such, he was loyal to Crominus, Crunkett,and Cragger, but he distrusted Crooler. Like Cragger, he too was under the influyence of the persuader plant during season 1, sot hat he would do whatever Cragger said while he was under Crooler's control. He was a great warrior armed with a shock staff and pulsor blaster. Like the Crocs, he was an amazing swimmer, but unlike them he could actually breathe underwater. He also felt sympathetic for the other Nomads who had no tribes, like Skinnet, Furty and Dom De La Woosh. He also was friends with Plovar.
