Compassion is as much a mark of a man as strength and bravery.
I was recently trying to hatch a Modest Snivy when - to my complete surprise - I hatched a legitimate shiny female with an Adamant nature; This also being the first shiny I have ever hatched.
I seem fated to be accompanied by these Pokemon.
This image also suggests subtle undertones of James Bond style villainy, which I find quite funny.
I named her 'Tsunni', by the way.

There's only one method of ever "guaranteeing" a shiny. That's in the pokemon pearl, diamond, and platinum. The little pokefinder item you get that makes the tall grass shake. Use it, and go to the grass that shook and you'r guaranteed to find a pokemon there. Do that again about 80 or so more times and make sure that all the pokemon that were in those shaking grasses were the same kind of pokemon. Then the grass will shake and sparkle. That one is guaranteed to have a shiny of that same kind of pokemon. just make sure not to encounter any pokemon on your way there. or the chain starts over.
