‘Ha ha, this is great!!’
“Ever since Lucia first took us to Snowflow Mountain on Azure Island I’ve been wanting to try something I heard about from tourists,… snowboarding.
Imagine my surprise when my friend Carissa gave me the gift of a snowboard for Christmas. It was such a thoughtful gift, and she even got it colored to match my surfboard. She is such a great friend.
I love surfing and snowboarding feels a lot like surfing, but snow behaves very differently from water, that is for sure, it takes some getting used to. I admit, I’ve fallen a couple times, but I think I’m getting the hang of it, it’s not quite the same as surfing, but I am enjoying it a lot, so far,… though it is harder to control my speed,…”

So, what does a surfing jungle girl do once she gets herself a more festive holiday outfit? Well, she goes snowboarding, of course, as we see in this marvelous picture from the immensely talented Usagiforehead. ~^
Ember continues to look great in her holiday colors, which really stand out against the snowy mountain background. I love how happy she looks, enjoying this sport, which seems quite fitting for a surfer like her, clearly a different, but still fun for her. I really like the sense of motion and Speed you get from this, the snow kicking up around the board, her long hair trailing behind her, even her bangs and the spindles of her hair flower swaying from the movement, all give a great sense of motion, even without the speed lines. The snowboard itself has great look to it, when I put in the request I just asked for a random snowboard and gave a few examples I found online, that Usagi took it upon himself to color and pattern similar to her surfboard, without even being asked to truly was great of him to do, and most appreciated. ^^ A great and festive picture of wintery fun. ^^
